Sleep is a complicated subject. There is ongoing research, study, analysis and debate around sleep science and neuroscience – sleep cycles, dream interpretation, REM sleep, and everything that comes with it. We are not theoretical experts. But for seventy years, we have helped people sleep better than ever before. At least, that is what they tell us.
We build beds. By hand, from scratch, exactly as we did when Vilax was founded in 1949. To this day, we remain committed to making and hand-weaving every spring core from steel wire, the beating heart of every bed we create. We are the only ones who still do. The springs connect to one another, each responding individually. Because we spin every spring by hand, we can tailor the firmness of any bed to your exact preference.
As early as the 1960s, Vilax beds were delivered to the Royal Palace of Sweden. Since then, leading Swedish hotels and discerning private customers have chosen us, something we are extraordinarily proud of. Ever since the Persson brothers founded Vilax in 1949, almost everything has come down to the craft, and to one small steel spring. We still hand-braid our own steel springs into a continuous spiral core that forms the heart of all our beds, sofas, and armchairs.
